System and Data Developer

Orion, a significant player in the pharmaceutical industry, is looking for a System and Data Developer to be a part of their small but skilled team in Espoo or Turku. They are going to resign part of their IT systems and put into service new ones. They need a new base for data transfer and refinement between systems. The team’s main mission is data migration from legacy data to the new system’s master data. Your main responsibilities will be to create and develop the solution.

The job will be software development, emphasis is on data development. You are going to utilize Microsoft Access to create a graphical user interface but if necessary, you can also program in VBA. You will read the user requirements and based on this you will be able to create a new solution. You will analyse the data in the source system and transform it for the new system. You get to participate in testing together with the business users. Also, documentation is an important part of the job and we hope you have good technical writing skills.

To succeed in this role requires knowledge of data management and data development. We do not expect you to be an expert in every area, but the motivation to learn and develop is important to us. You can be either a full-time or part-time employee and the contract will be a fixed-term contract until the end of May. The possible continuation after this depends on the status of the project.

We require you to:

  • Have a relevant study background
  • Have some experience in data processing (e.g. summer jobs or own projects)
  • Have a basic understanding of relational databases, SQL and programming
  • Have an active and independent approach to work
  • Be fully proficient in English, Finnish skills are seen as an advantage
